Jelly’s a casual work event where everyone’s invited. It’s for anyone who’d like to work alongside other creative people in a welcome environment.
Working alone sucks. Further, Denton is a creative hotbed, but traditionally the community ends up: Designers with Designers, Developers with Developers, Musicians with Musicians. For that matter: Chefs with Chefs, Teachers with Teachers, Lawyers with Lawyers… That isn’t an effective organization of overall community. It also makes it impossible to work towards meaningful social change and progress.
It starts small. Coffee shops, cafes, apartments. From there it turns into a dedicated physical place. Maybe multiple places. Maybe no place. Whatever the community of individuals demand.
